What is Mahuang / Ma Huang?
Traditionally, Mahuang is an herb that is grown in India, Pakistan, and China, which,
usually, is dried and the leaves/stem are used for medicinal purposes. Effectively,
the Chinese name for ephedra
is Mahuang, and it has been used for thousands of years in China for traditional
Chinese medicine. Furthermore, Mahuang is a crucial element for many
dietary and weight loss supplements, and ephedra one of three vital ingredients
for the ECA Stack.
In effect, Mahuang increases both the body’s basal metabolic rate and the rate of
thermogenesis, or ability to burn fat. Additionally, when combined with
caffeine and aspirin,
it creates an ECA Stack – this greatly increases and prolongs the effects of mahuang
alone, and offers the benefit of maintaining lean muscle mass.
